Betz to Speak at Fleet/Lease Conference

Jay Betz, President of Thrifty Car Sales, and Executive Vice President of Fleet, will be a featured speaker at the Fleet/Lease Remarketing & Certified Used Vehicle Conference taking place Feb. 19 - 21, 2003. The conference, being held at The Venetian in Las Vegas, is part of the ongoing Auto Remarketing Forum Series.

Joining him is Jeff Pugliese, commercial sales manager for Volvo, and a host of other speakers that include:

• Jeff Heichel, the top certified and remarketing executive with General Motors;
• Keith Helfrich, director of remarketing and leader of the DaimlerChrysler Certified Program;
• Ray Dupell, marketing manager for the Mercedes Benz Starmark Certified Pre-Owned Program;
• Dan Crowe, manager Honda/Acura Certified Pre-Owned Programs;
• Tom Kontos, ADESA;
• Jie Cheng, JD Power & Associates; and
• Chip Perry, AutoTrader.com's president and CEO, who will moderate a panel with David Walsh of MarketWise.

Betz will kick off the conference with the opening presentation, followed by an executive session featuring respected re-marketers Mike McHale, director of remarketing for GMAC, and David Langley, director of remarketing for American Honda Finance.

Industry icon, Tom Cunningham, retired remarketing strategy director for Ford Motor Company, will deliver the event's keynote address. Additionally, the conference features a unique, high-level discussion with the CEOs from Manheim Auctions, ADESA Corporation, ABC, ServNet and BSCAmerica.
