Thrifty Car Sales Strengthens Management Team with New Appointments

TULSA, Okla. - Thrifty Car Sales, a leading franchiser of non-manufacturer branded used car dealerships, recently named Kim Bucci to the position of Executive Director of Franchise Sales and Strategy and Steven DeGeorge as Regional Franchise Sales Manager. Both will report directly to Jim Holder, Staff VP of Thrifty Car Sales.

Bucci's responsibilities include directing franchise sales efforts and the continuing development of the company's business and operating strategies.

Most recently, Bucci served in the retail sector of car sales with Sloane Automotive Group, serving as Business Manager, Sales Manager and Pre-Owned Manager. He also conceived and launched the company's Internet Sales and Marketing division and supervised the marketing efforts of seven franchise locations. Bucci has more than 23 years experience in the automotive industry, predominately with Nissan Motor Corporation and Ford Motor Company.

Bucci earned his bachelor's degree from Boston College and his master's degree in business administration from Babson College.

DeGeorge's 13 years of sales and insurance industry experience includes positions with Allstate Insurance and Jackie Cooper Imports of Tulsa.

Most recently, he served as a Market Business Consultant with Allstate Insurance providing business assistance and counseling to Tulsa-area agents. During his tenure with Jackie Cooper Imports, DeGeorge held the positions of Sales Consultant and Customer Relations Manager.

He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma in Norman.

To date, Thrifty Car Sales has signed 60 dealer agreements in 23 states, with 40 stores currently operational. By 2005, Thrifty Car Sales plans to have as many as 300 U.S. locations.
